Last night I made a great wreathe and then today my friend and I went to the beach and took pics with Storm, the KMSH stud I own. He was a really good boy and we had a great time. He gave a bunch of Christmas cheer to ppl that were also at the beach, including one little 6yo girl that got to come and pet him and feed carrots. We got some awesome pics, but as with all things filming, we had a "blooper reel" when the tide came up a tad higher than anticipated while trying to get up on a rock. We both got pretty wet, almost lost the horse (bridle shook off, but he was good and didn't take off, LOL) and laughed too hard :) Here is a video of it:http://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=privacy#/video/video.php?comments&v=1274687221542

By far the Gang knows what is happening when the green and red bulbs come their way!!! Christmas Parade time!! We do several each year.... they get to wear their lights, their jingle bells, and spray painted jingle bells!! They stroll thru those parades like " Do you all see me?" LOL As soon as the weather turns cold they just know it's time to razzle dazzle. That is one of their higher points of Christmas.
Peppermint Horse Cookies...
Slammer Loves this time of year! It's Christmas time and time for a needed break from shows. He gets to play with others, just be himself and relax in the sun. He knows this time of year is special with his stocking filled with cookies and alfalfa cubes. He is looking forward to new equipment and feed buckets that santa is bring him.
Santa told me to tell you he loves your Holiday filed Profile picture
Oh c'mon Santa Baby (or Ms. Clause in this case!) won't you put some horsehair under my tree for me? To share with others is such a treat! So put some horsehair under my tree, you'll seee...just how generous of a cowgirl I can be.
Charger's favorite part of Christmas would have to be increased "love", and attention (How that is possible I don't know!!! He gets so much anyway!!! {lol}). He also enjoys the treats, and cooler weather.
I think my horses love christmas cause they get all new blankets, pads, brushes, etc...
My horse Vistas Platinum Romeo..Vista for short loves Christmas...He loves the excitement around the barn, the decorating and placing of festive flowers,( fake of course),He has to sniff and lip them as we walk thru the barn... and He loves it when i braid red, green, silver and gold ribbons into his mane and tail....he runs around, head held high as if to say" HEY look at me..." He loves Candycanes, and fruit cake, but only gets TINY pieces... this christmas i was trying to figure out what to get him and was looking thru the Valey Vet Supply magazine for a new heavy jacket/warmer for him, when he pulled it out of my hands and began shaking it, my friend lisa said he picked his own present... lol...
My horses actually like Candy Canes!
My horse loves getting litttle treats hidden in his hay pile and feed bucket on Christmas morning, then following me around the pasture for carrots.

today i put my dark blue ski hat on, my old tatty riped torn car hops, my lilac tall rubber boots ,my black not water proof gloves and gingerly brought out 21 buckets of feed and placed them in the wagen..so far this morning is good.! the red mudd dirt of virginia is not kind when it gets wet.in fact it will kill you if you get in its way..but so far this morn all is good..i proceed to turn on my tracter to pull the feed wagon..(mind you my mighty tracter is a black ride on lawn mower !stop lauphing please!!!) i was fine down the gravel drive way to the tobbacco barn were i keep my hay,i managed to lift 3 80lb bales into the wagon with much grunting and cussing(im 63 no spring chicken)and after i load hay every morning im more like a dead duck!!!! back up the gravel drive, first stop( Groan )go and hay the two old farts..i cut open the hay and waded threw mid shin sticky mudd with my hay load in my arms..the two old horses just stand on the high ground and make me come to them, every morning same thing..but this morning missy haflinger decided to meet me half way..i saw her over the hay heading my way..with a great deal of speed she sounded like a fraight train..i could here the suckson from her feet as they cut threw the mudd.,,I started gingerly moveing back wards then to the side..then i said oh hell you want ya hay here it is and flung it in the air..i then could see threw the bits and pieces of hay in the air her nose was wide open and her brakes were not workin..i turned with all the effert this old body could give me and started running like hell in the opposet direction.. my legs spun into 6 gear passeing old fart 1st and second..i looked down and relized id left my one liac boot in the mire behind me .and my foot was icey cold and wet.i watched the mares face as she skid past my boot..her eyes flaling out of her head trying to stop and closing in on me fast. i was two feet from the hot wire and going into a dive at break neck speed.my arms outstreched my eyes close i shot under the wire and rolled to safty.when i got myself togeather and opened my eyes it was dark..sooo very dark..i sat up i could here the mare frothing at the mouth and the felt the wind from her nose..she stoped about 2 inches from that wire..I stood up groping for day light and screamed at the mare why the hell did you do that you idiot..at that point i relized my hat was pulled over my face completly..Well tomake matters worse this freeked her out,she couldnt see my face and i was going the kill her..so she histeraclly took off across the field kicking striking screaming..i took my hat off and my down to my butt hair was muddy my face was red my body was red i looked like a red human brick. hence va red mud..well in the end i retrieved my boot,i hate the red mudd, and the rest of the story will come later.....thats was the start of my day..........whinny
The horses I take care of and ride love the special christmas mash we make for them warm bran mash with pepperment bits or apple cinnamon. they dont so much like all the dressing up in hats and antlers but they put up with it ;)

what my horse, Prince, loves most about Christmas is all the goodies that the kids bring. He's a wonderful, well-mannered lesson horse that works really hard during the year, so Christmas is his vacation from work!!!
